The James F. Lincoln Arc Welding Foundation has all (5) welding project books on sale for $35.00..a savings of $10.00. Their website is a bit goofy and they make no concession to pay using PayPal. Reply:although nobody asked i.m.very h. opinion the 2 greatest welding books out there are #1~procedure handbook of arc welding and design. #2~theory and practice of arc welding. this second book is from the 40's but has drawings and photo's of what good welds are supposed to look like. it also show's the position of the rod and current settings plus polarity for making these welds. this book gave me ton's of useful info when i was starting out.i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
Reply:i got mine the other day, half of the projects are agricultural and of no use to me.the other half are projects that maybe fun but not that economical.Building a table saw, lathe, etc would probably take me so much time and leave me with sooo many left over scraps of metal that i have no use for.... that it would be more economical to just something like that.I'm gonig to list my set in the classified section of this web site or you can send me a Private Message. |
