Reply:Critter those bends in the gate are a roller job, NOT a bender job.Did you get a comission from a fine NewOrleans cathouse for a new gate?Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:due to the unfortunate publicity about dollar day at the ***** house, the price is now $1.25They need a gate to keep Bill Clinton out. He keeps stealing Hillary's lunch money and spending it down here. he "ruinted" it for the locals.I was hoping this roller would bend ("roll") it.http://www.shopoutfitters.com/Products/238.htmA true democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for lunch.
Reply:Critter yer on the right path with that machine, BUT before I'd spend that kind of money I'd do a little playing with 3 of them $5- rubber tired 5"casters from Harbor Flotsum and a piece of 1/2" plate. The bend your lookin at is fairly gentle, and you can probably accomplish it pushing and pulling the tube thru a set of wheels set up like a tire roller. When you take an up close look at the SO roller, it ain't exactly complex technology. The thing I don't like about it is all the tractive force is on the single roll, witch means far more slippage opportunity. In my opinion, a roller equal to the SO unit can be built for under $50 in less than a day, even by a swamp dweller.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
Reply:Crithpy,When you build that gate, try to be standing on level ground when you attach the lions. They might actually end up on the same level.

Reply:Like Franz said, you need a roller to do that. The SO roller won't roll stock that large but you can make one easy enough. Here are a couple of links to give you some ideas. homemade roller Powered or manual Another homemade Steve |
