hobart fabricator

Has anyone had experience with the hobart fabricator? Little bit older machine but made for heavy welding. I just purchased one and thought I'd see if anyone knows much about them

Reply:My hunch is that as long as it works your fine but if your were to need parts your sunk. That was made before Hobart was split up and I suspect that line of equipment was taken over by Thermadyne and as such not well supported.

Reply:i like it alotttt. It looks like it has about 40 voltage taps. The feeder looks like an ancestor of the miller 22A kinda. Give us a picture of the wire feed rolls. That's a nice little droid you have ther Attached Images        thermal arc 252i  -  millermatic 350P -   miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs  -   Hypertherm 1250 G3
Reply:I can get a few more pictures once I'm home. I'll Crack open the top and show you all the insides of it. Looks like a octopus.  You correct. It goes up to 40 volts  I believe it goes up to 400 amps on the top Guage. I bought it from a guy who welded loader buckets with it . Made in 1990Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
