Mig issue.

Hey all. I'm having a problem with my mig.I usually weld on car bodies and thin gauge steel but lately my mig is kind of arcing at the wire feed and causing me to stop, waste wire and feed more through to the hand piece. I cant see anywhere where it might be shorting out so I thought someone else may have had the problem and could point me in the right direction. "tis very frustrating.Thanks heaps.Tim.
Reply:It's a short. The main source is probably a piece of wire on the back of the spool touching the cabinet.
