Ok, so here is the latest modification on my buds stretched and lifted 86 honda. He got a winch that someone gave him. Once we made sure it worked, decided to just modify the stock front bumper for a mount.Had to notch and plate one tube to clear the winch motor. And the plate is made from 1/8 sheet. Not sure if it will be heavy enough as there are only 2 bolts to mount the winch. I would have liked to used like 3/16 but all I have in sheet is 20ga, 16ga, 11ga (1/8") and then it jumps to 1/4" gonna have to fix that on the next steel order. When he brings it back in for me to mount the fairlead rollers I may add some bar stock to it to stiffen up the places where it bolts on.For anyone interested in seeing the entire build here is his thread on www.highlifter.com http://forum.highlifter.com/86-350-4...-m4758970.aspxIf you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before the bag of luck is empty."-Grandad circa 1990ish
Reply:Cool keep us posted. I had to make a mount to put a 4000lb winch under my wife's lifted RZR. Could have bought it, but I would have had to wait on the mount.Miller BobcatHarris cutting outfitMiller spectrum 625 plasmaVariety of shopmade tools |
