Ok, There seems to be a steady influx of people coming over asking for quotes for Photobooths, These quotes are just for one and it appears that the member states that they are building and fabricating these booths, but are just asking for one quote as well as numerous "how do you do this" questionsI've see a couple of members ask the same, they've been doing it for years, and asking members to spend time and effort working out a quote for just ONE.I think that these are people that are coming over from the Photobooth site and making out they are fabricators/welders or whatever in order to get a price so that they could build one for themselves.I havn't a problem with that but i do have an issue with all the lies and trying to get info from us under false pretenses. If a Photographer asked about these i'm sure he would of gotten a decent reply and if anyone was keen to build one then they could sort it between themselves, So far there been several posts all asking the same  thing and just upsetting members and Mods in the process. If your a guy thats built these for years stick up a picture we'd love to see what you've made, But if you come on here with the sole purpose to lie and cheat then i don't want to know. Any new members looking at making a photobooth should decide which route to take, But if you Lie you will be found out.Lets not make the Mods work any harder and stop all this crap now
Reply:I was the only one who gave him a honest quote and he PMed me crying like a baby  and put me on his ignore list. Hey, I dont work cheap what can I say I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:I'm getting kinda fed up with these photobooths anyway, The majority are kits which come over from china, made in bulk and probably a third of the price anyone could make one for. Its a complete waste of anyone's time to sit down and work out quotes for these. Looking at that Photobooth site its apparent no ones made anything decent and if they have they're not showing, thats why i think they have come to WeldingWeb, cos we're the professionals
Reply:still can't give up the witch hunt after the mods locked the last thread?Tell you what I'll send you some photos of many designs I have made, on the condition that you are man enough to apologize for all the false accusations.Seriously you think I took photos of a $5000 tig machine, my set up, posted videos to get help, offered free aluminum scrap metal so I could deceive this board? Oh wait did you even do any fact checking before you started your little witch hunt? You also think looligogo or whatever his name was buying/selling tig machines for fun on the forum. Possibly, though the non conspirest logical person would probably come to the conclusion he was working as a welder, even if he pissed off people on the board. And there you, go two people asking about booths is enough to irk you into making false claims you can't even remotely back up. The chinese photobooths are crap and almost no one uses them in the USA OR the UK. Yeah I've even shipped booths we've made over there. You know nothing about the industry and are just blowing hot air. Prove me wrong by posting the chinese photobooth you are talking about.Last edited by AluminumWelder; 12-31-2012 at 10:03 AM.
Reply:What part of Charlotte are you in...i have to make a run through there in a week or two and i'll come by and see if i can help you out.
Reply:I'm not saying anything about a witch hunt, i've not implied you at all, what i am saying is i'm fed up with people coming on here asking about quotes for photobooths which end up going nowhere, because a quote for 1, will probably be 2 or 3 times more expensive than if you made loads, and as you say you do, it kinda makes your post look suspicious. Can you not see that??? As for the Chinese booths, you should know all about them, so i won't go there, Why don't you prove us wrong and post pictures of the Photobooths you've made, Don't forget to add something with your member name in the Picture, so we know its you thats taken it. You've said that your a Photobooth Manufactuer, and i'm afraid i just don't believe you for a minute, mainly because of the contents of your posts, and the same went for the other guy. We're not idiots on this forum, there are some very clever and intelligent people here.I'm not making false claims just stating fact, and from what i've read, no one has shown proof otherwise

Reply:why would you bid on a project on here? do you need practice producing quotes? quotes take time time is money. unless you shake hands with the potential customer they don't exist.   business owner X needs to quote a project. he comes on here says he need you to quote this for your potential business. you gladly produce so do five other people. X than averages it out adds %20 what ever. and submits his bid. guess who did the work? you did..... did you get paid?   no... will you???? no..jorian1959 lincoln sa 200/yanmar4tne86miller bobcat 250ntmiller 180 easy set

Reply:The only thing I saw on that website was somebody drawings and it looked like they were making the booth from 2x4s mabey this question has or hasn't been askedThis is a common sense thing. If you in fact have built these BEFORE then why do you need a quote? Specially when you already know the price since you have obviously charged for it before.
Reply:because I build different types of photobooths and this is a custom one and I was just curious what people would charge. I found out from the past thread that I charge more than what some welders were suggesting, but that also comes with service. So I guess in conclusion, you should never  talk business on this board because some people are so insecure they do not feel comfortable sharing that info. Lesson learnednow get back to your life.Last edited by AluminumWelder; 12-31-2012 at 03:12 PM.

Reply:Someone should call this booth company that people keep linking to and ask them what is up with them wanting build quotes for a single unit?   And why they no longer want to use the current supplier (as per Loolagig) past comments...What I don't understand is your resistance to post pics of booths your built here on the forum.  People then maybe able to advise you better on how to adapt your current design.  Also did u explain to the company that is obviously trying to go cheap that making radius bend instead of straight parts will add lots to the cost.Last edited by soutthpaw; 12-31-2012 at 03:24 PM.Tiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250

Reply:Hey uuuuhhhh what would you guys charge to build a photobooth?????
Reply:That's too funny... Locally, I had a prospective customer jack me around about fabricating a photobooth in aluminum for him, who strung me along quite a ways.  In the end, he balked due to the price being too high for his one-off design.Oh well, at least I didn't need to deal with the guy any more after that.

Reply:no I don't have a image reputation problem. the mods do when they go around assuming that I am some other person they hate, and then aren't even polite enough to apologize.  When I complain, I am told to drop it because I'm not begin flammed. Hate to break to you, posting false claims about new members is 100x worse than anything I have ever posted on this forum. I didn't start this southpaw , zap and 749 did. I guess with your birther comment you are a conspiracy theorist too.Welll I've known a few conspiracy theorist too and they all suffer from the same delusion that they are right and everyone else si wrong.
