Bandsaw Question

I just got my hf bandsaw and want to mod it. I was wondering where I could get one of those cylinders to adjust the drop speed like the one in the picture. Attached Images

Reply:Dman I purchased mine off of E-bay for around $30- $40.00 I had no brackets or modifications to make. It bolted right up using existing holes etc.

Reply:Go into e-bay and type in bandsaw it should be about 12 to 15 items down it is listed as speed control. You will be able to enlarge the picture of it and get a good look at it.   Looks like they currently are a little prouder of it then they were when I bought mine as it is on sale right now for $48.00.  You may be able to contact the guy and deal with him on one.  I have been happy with mine  and I found the guy that runs the company super to deal with.
Reply:I built a new stand for mine you think it would still work? I found it though.
Reply:I don't know what your stand is like but I don't think you would have any problem if you look at a close up of the speed control unit it just bolts up in two places just a touch over 3 inches straight down from the bolt holes in the base of the band saw.
