Had a little job today making up a walkway for a plant room, Got the middle bit done and one of the end bits, Just need to finish the other end and make the handrails, but this is what i've done so farThe Grating made up of 25mm x 3mm slatsCutting the Grating, The easiest way to cut this stuff is with a 9" grinder and cutting disc. A lot of people swear by gas cutting, but you need to clean up each strip before welding it, i just clamp a nice thick bar where i need to cut it and just cut with the grinder, easy :whistle:the Middle and Top sections i had to weld a 25mm x 3mm strip to the end cut to finish off the ends but apart from that all looks well, Later i'll finish the bottom section and add the handrailsLast edited by Gerry1964; 01-23-2013 at 02:39 PM.
Reply:Ok so i finally got the last section done and added to the trionext it was just getting the handrails made up with TubeClampsNow tomorrow i need to get it all undone and send the grating to the galvanisers, Good thing about making the handrails in the workshop is all i need to do is unbolt the base connectors from the Kickplate and send them on site whole, Then the fitters just need to line up the base plates and bolt direct, saving time and money
Reply:cool.. is the base all one piece?
