I am looking a these units on the net for about $1200 delivered. I am also looking at a used Hobart 250 Beta-Mig for $950 delivered. Can anyone please give me input on this? THe seller of the Hobart wants me to pay on Tuesday 08-02-05 or he will sell it to another buyer. Please let me know your thoughts ASAP! Thank You!Greg
Reply:I would go with the Fabricator 251, It is more expensive but is heavier duty than the Hobart. The Hobart is not really a production welder. I have a Fab 250 and got used and am very impressed with the machines ability and welds. You can fine tune to weld thin and also weld the thickest too.
