Not sure what year it is, but what do you think it's worth?this is not the exact unit. But one just like it. Trying to gauge what to pay for it. There is one local that a guy had given to him by his uncle who just passed away.
Reply:It's an older unit. I'd say $250 is a very good price for the condition of the one in the pict, $350 tops. Much more than that and you are starting to get into the price range of bigger more robust AC/DC machines like Dialarcs and Idealarcs.Make sure the crank at the top will run thru the full range of motion. That's the one down side to those older Thunderbolts. The cranks tend to rust up a bit and get stuck. If it is sticky or stuck, reduce the price since you will have more work to do to get it working right., Say drop $50-75 off the asking price. Other than that those are very nice machines. Look at the leads. Heavily cracked leads will need replacement and that can add up fast. Reduce price accordingly..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:I sold one just like it for $150 not long ago.
Reply:Depends on your location. By me around $200. Make sure you try it on DC ! i was told some early models had issues on DC.
Reply:$150.- $250., hopefully with leads. I got a nice Dialarc 250 with leads for $300."USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder |
