New Here, First Post, some practice welds

Hello all, look alot at forum but this is first post ever. Nothing special just thought I would share for my first post. Just some practice weld coupons of aluminum, titanium, and inconel 625. I am a learning welder at a small aviation shop. These are practice welds for some minor certification through my work. Have not seen a whole lot of full pen AL. Butt welds here so thought maybe would be good first post. All welds far from perfect as I said I am learning but all I have to show for myself for the time being.       On another note really enjoy the site and most posts, pipe stuff is amazing as well as most stuff from the main guys here. Really enjoy the cast repairs as well, good stuff to know. So here is pics of practice tries before I actually submitted coupons to x ray. Fronts and Backs. Most 1/16th red, ti had big gas lens, 3/32 blue on AL. All back purged, machine sync 200. Thanks Attached Images

Reply:Hello, yes shovelon we are using AWS d17.1, you are right about the back purge on aluminum, but I figured what the heck, Drf 255 thanks for the compliment, the machine I used was a synchro wave 200, 3/32" blue lanthanated tungsten, ac balance I believe was 80 or 85, 4043  3/32 filler, max amps somewhere around 120 amps, foot pedal, argon at 18-20 cfh.
