I'm impressed with this saw!

I got a new Jet Horizonal Bandsaw at school several months ago.  We have been using it quite a bit.  I started my tool tree and cut one of my mitered pieces a little long.  I decided to give the saw a test to see how thin a slice it could cut off. I thought it would walk one way or the other.  This was not a new blade and we have cut a lot of metal with it.It sliced off an even pieceI would never had thought it would do this.  I will have to try it again in about a year to see how it wears.Last edited by Crabo; 02-02-2013 at 11:02 PM.
Reply:I cut a piece that was .009 and .012 on my habor freight horizontal band saw. New blade and took a lot of time to setup but it did it. Reply:Made some shim washers last year by drilling round stock on end about an inch deep and slicing. Reply:Cam, my stock blade is a 5/8 tpi blade.  I am going to go to a bimetal 6/10 when I change it.  The saw is a Model HVBS-710S.
