Reply:Good job. One small thing though. The bottom of your spider webs are sagging up and not down. I think I would like to build some furniture and artsy stuff but I don't have the time yet. Maybe one day. Thanks for the pics

Reply:Went to the game tonite, my Senators won!thanks for the kind welcome and words folks! this time of year when the winter blahs have set in its nice to get some happy feedback!acourtjester - no wife...the way chicks react to me...i must be made of poo! spiderwebs are my next door neighbors house (their last name is Webb! how slick is that!) , the TV and speaker stands are in my living room! (i have a second set that are 4 S4LE!)speaker stands....yeah a bit flimsy... i thought about gussets...lol. these things weigh about 40lbs each. got them powder coated in a stippled black, spikes top and bottom set in rivnuts, I have pics taken during the build just gotta figure out which of the million SD/USB cards lying around its on (im a bit of a gadget geek too) I didn't make them fillable i figured they were heavy enough. its .100" tube, 3/16 top n bottom plates. the warping from welding was disgusting. the next version will bolt together... I had to use a MAP torch, some big tubes and every clamp i own to straighten out the bottom plates. not fun!rdop2001 I fought that battle in my head for quite a while on the droop of the spiderwebs! didnt sound right to me having them sag the wrong way! google image search seemed to show that most stylized webs are done with the droop the wrong way...dunno just seems to work!heres a couple more. the tray is 36x48 for the water table for the plasma cutter.the racing thing...OMG so fun with GT5!! Reply:the little tiny building behind the trailer is my workshop (tall roof behind not included!)
Reply:and yeah, that HK receiver is a beast...=)
Reply:here is what i worked on today....a tool rack for a tripod pipe threading stand. Attached Images
Reply:That pipe vice stand addition is pretty clever, worked of those for many years and that addition would have sure been handy. Very nice! Best Bob
Reply:Great idea on the wrench holder ! I was throwing wrenches on one of those for 41 years.Never even though about something to hold wrenches or dope. Those aluminum wrenches are the nuts. Lotta money sitting there nowadays ! Really cool !
Reply:Nice work.
Reply:the tool rack for the tripod is for a friend who is a boiler and refrigeration guy who is tired of kicking his wrenches around the shop! The hooks that hold it on just slot into deep 9/16" sockets and tighten with set screws so when its not being used its not some big awkward thing with hooks hanging everywhere
Reply:Thanks for sharing your work. The stands in the first set of pics are sweet. I'd like to know about your method for getting the proper cuts on those tubes. Looks like the thin sheet metal stayed pretty flat too. Definitely a lot of heat input into them. Reply:That is truly stunning. So much thought, so much artistryi like the spiderwebs..check yer local codes, seems theres too much opning in the corners and a kids head could get in there..nice work..
