I haven't seen this posted yet, but I apologize if this is old news.http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&...,d.aWw&cad=rjaThey look nice, but no info on pricing for North America. However, it seems a couple of them are on sale in the UK....http://www.rapidwelding.com/dynamic/...spx?c=W1009305http://www.rapidwelding.com/dynamic/...=W1009205&rl=1Last edited by Advan; 07-23-2014 at 09:43 AM.
Reply:Interesting, thanks for the heads up. Curious how they will compare to similar red/blue units.EXO Fabrication, Inc.www.exofabrication.com

Reply:I would like to know what maximum output is on the 301 while plugged into 230v 1 phase.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.

Reply:300 amps 35% duty-cycle 36 pound machine.. Last Arc-master was 300 amps 25% about 55 pounds. Excellent machinesEsab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i
Reply:Depends if Colfax decides to kill the China made stuff. Kind of doubt it, but there was talk.... 140 ac/dc? seems kind of lame on ac...That said, I love my 141i tweco.. It's not lame at all. Impressive when setup correctly..Last edited by Brand X; 07-23-2014 at 12:47 PM.Esab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i

Reply:I can, with .023 spool-arc 86 wire. Also Running my Binzel gun cleaned up the starts tremendously. Could not handle the way the factory one worked at all .. Thinking of putting my Tweco Teflon liner, and try a bit of aluminum tack welding.(little short weld beads really with the tweco gun) One thing to play with, is burn-back and getting the wire tip size just right for the start. I understand what you are saying, fine tuning goes a long way to making this a non issue.  Not too much to be gained with .030 wire in that machine. Maybe a tiny bit on top, but then I will be using other machines at that point.. I also ditched the ground lead, and ground cable to better quality. try to say away from using too much inductance also..One thing about all Thermal-arc inverters I have used.. Temperamental on smaller wire. .023 to .035 on arc starts. Really need fine tune everything to get acceptable starts. Not on spray arc/ big wire etc.. (Perfect) just the short-arc..Last edited by Brand X; 07-23-2014 at 01:54 PM.Esab/Lorch ET-220iEsab 160i caddyThermal LM-200 Lincoln feedersThermal Pee-Wee 85sThermal 60i- 3phase /RPC powered (Beast)Thermal Drag-gun 35CINE 1500 Klutch 140i
Reply:It appears to me that these new machines have higher duty cycles and are much lighter than the previous models.  More industrial and really nice.  On a side note, all new machines are like buying cars, camera's, radio's, or what ever, it is impossible to keep up with all the latest and greatest technologies or what ever as one would find they will be going broke to keep up.  Really nice if you need a machine like these and are ready to purchase as they offer really nice features.  Best  Bob
Reply:A direct link to the PDF:http://victortechnologies.com/IM_Upl...l_Brochure.pdfA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
Reply:Stick output seems quite limited on the AC/DC models, but the 401MST looks just like the "good old days". The section titled "Primary Power" seems poorly edited at best, no useable info there. Hopefully more details will eventually be available.JohnA few weldersA lot of hammersA whole lot of C-clamps
