i finally got my lincoln 175hd to work. but the welds are fat and tall. what can i do to make them better. i started right top to left then right to left bottom. the two on the top sides are from my 225 ac with a 6011 at the highest settings and it was hot. settings for 175hd.035 wire75/25 gas1/4in platespeet 7.5E heat

Reply:Your weld will wet out WAY better on clean metal.
Reply:Yea the polarity is correct. The lincoln repair guy set it up for me. I wanted to see if I could weld in rusty metal and it did penetrate plenty. It was bright red underneath after the weld I think I was going to slow too. So what should the gas setting be set on?
