Are there pipeling jobs in SoCal?

Am i just not looking in the right places? I have 3 years exp in the field and shop as a structural steel welder. All these pipeline jobs want years of exp so how does one get that? I have not seen one add for a pipe welders helper out here. It's as if having a 6g cert right from school won't even do you any good. It's just very frustrating when i've put so much time and money into this field and its not really working out the way i thought it would be.

Reply:You needed to burn rod a lot of rod .Set up your own pipe and practice your  positions until there second nature. Then use a mirror offhand.
