Reply:I was thinking about getting one of the HF tubing notchers. They have 2, one that goes 60 deg and one 45 deg. Anyone have experience with either of those?MM175 MIGCutmaster 38 PlasmaCraftsman 30gal compressor4x6 HF bandsaw1hp HF floor drill pressRyobi Cutoff SawAssorted grindersNot enough time
Reply:i use a bridgeport and a end-mill ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I have the HF that goes to 60 and it has been OK for the price. It took a bit of adjusting/shimming to get it to hit the tube dead center and make a good cut. I am considering modifying it go horizontal as I think it might be easier to use.I have been using it in a modified bench top drill press which is a challenge. Getting everything lined up correctly is time consuming. |
