Are there any free welding simulators online?

Reply:Lincoln use to have one that you could download on their site to just mess around with but seem to have moved it to their virtual machine.
Reply:Hey, you could weld zinc with one of those!!!!!

Reply:No matter how much simulator time you put in, nothing is going to match hood down time burning rod and or wire. The time you spend playing with a simulator program could have been time spent doing the real thing and getting real experience with it. Although the simulator would be a little cheaper on the wallet, but still not like burning metal together.

Reply:you need to keep practicing with running a straight line.as others have said, it looks like very little penetration.i've seen worse 1st attempts, though!keep up the good work.
Reply:I've personally used one of the Lincoln virtual machines at a college welding competition last year, and I can honestly say that it's nothing like the real thing. I wouldn't waste my time on one of them.
Reply:The only good thing the machine could possibly be good for is correcting rod angle and travel speed. But sometimes not even get for travel speed.

Reply:Practice does not make perfect. Perfect Preparation & Practice makes Perfect. Saw the sim at the LEWS and, while technically impressive, would much prefer to "dig in" with real-world physical tools/consumables IOT advance/perfect technique.
Reply:Im not looking for this as practice was just wanting to mess around with it. |
