Got this piece of track for free from the local railroad yard.  It got cleaned it up a little today.  Going to turn it into an anvil.  Never done anything like this.  Any suggestions welcome.  Anyone have one go ahead and post some pictures.  This section is 21 inches long, six inches high, and weighs 83 pounds.Gar Attached ImagesLincoln Electric, Power MIG 256Hypertherm Powermax 45 Miller Dynasty 280DXSmith O/A torchGenesis of a welding table

Reply:im suprised they gave you the piece of track.... I know around here any railroad spike track etc will get you in big trouble, especially when you take it to the scrap yard but those little anvils are pretty neat

Reply:south carolina lol... I guess they were having problems with people tearing up tracks and selling it for scrap. any scrap yard around here has a poster with all the spikes etc, that you are not allowed to scrap
