Morning, FNG to site so be gentle. Question is : have recently switched from uphill fill and cap (B31.1) exclusively to downhill F & C w/ 6010. And the bottom of pipe is eating my lunch for the moment . Am using Ranger 305G, (does anyone get the downhill mode?) . Any on-topic tips, opinions or links would be awesome.
Reply:Hide your lunch somewhere else so the pipe can't get to it.

Reply:The downhill feature is supposed to mimic the old SA 200/250 gas burners arc for welding with cellulosic pipe rod's i.e. E7010, however they run E7018 uphill just fine.Your setting look about right maybe a little cold for a 5/32.If it is the bottom of your weld you are probably moving too slow.K.I.S.S evading the minds of engineers since the beginning of time.Lincoln Precision Tig 225Lincoln IdealArc 250Lincoln Ranger 305GLincoln SP 185
