Profax(Airco) Spoolgun to My Miller Trailblazer

Here we go, I got this Profax spoolgun on a Lincoln 250 Idealarc CC/CV that I bought and figured why not keep the "free" spoolgun on the truck. With the help of our resident Miller expert 7A749 I got a 14 pin plug and the wiring info I needed.Here is the beginning, all the parts waiting to be assembled 14 pin plug all installed, I need smaller hands for this stuffThe inside of the old Airco control boxMore surgeryAll hooked up and ready to burn wireDisclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
Reply:Nice find!CAUTION: You may get hooked on that gun!With the length of the cables and in gun wire speed adjustment, you will find it will save you a LOT of time by not having to relocate the welder or workpiece. Even in mild outdoor wind conditions - crank the shielding gas - it'll handle it. Toss the cables over your shoulder and GO!If you've looked, those guns alone aren't cheap. BTW - there are bent nozzles available for them also.

Reply:It looks like most of the parts in this Profax gun can be had from Grainger and my local electronics store, not much to the control box either, a 120 to 24 volt transformer and a 24 volt relay. Reply:Yup. Simple and sweet. Sounds like you're getting "hooked". There's not a spoolgun out there that doesn't have some ergo drawbacks. If I have to move around, someone can "take this whip and shove it".
