Sorry for dumb question but can't figure out what type of cables are these? These are new and I have around 2000 lbs in assorted lengths  12" to 2 meter if some one is interested. Thanks for your help. Attached Images
Reply:Almost look like fuses of some sort or a flexible electrical cable, a vibration isolation cable???. If you've got 2000 lbs worth a lot of it looks like copper, major $$$$.....MIke
Reply:Sacrifice one and cut it open to see what's inside then post a pic.---Meltedmetal

Like combining several heavy welding leads together in a single cable. They're flexible for attaching welding transformers or a power source to the apparatus since it generally moves when the weld is being made. The spot welders in the GM plant I worked in had some shunt cables on them better than 2" in diameter. We were spot welding panels for the entire underbody of the car. Almost everything was done robotically.Scrap em. You'll get a ton of money out of them. Most likely get number 1 copper for them in most cases if you strip the insulation covering off. Hopefully you didn't pay much for them
Reply:Keep a few.  The ones maybe a foot or so long would be perfect for smacking someone upside the head.  Thwap!"USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder
