i have a millermatic 251 with a spool gun but have some projects coming up that i need to go thinner aluminum than the spool gun will do so im gonna get a tig. ive heard alot of guys like the TA because of the incredible adjustability but im kinda leaning tward the miller due so simplicity. im not a welder by profession so im not using the equipment everyday. although i may get my welding certification to weld electrical bussbar cu and al. im an electrician and run into this more and more lately. so what do yall think???
Reply:ok now i have realized im comparing apples to orangesmiller dynasty 200 or TA 185TSW hmmm or do i go with the tried and true buzz box transformer welder of the syncrowave???im just wondering if the inverter tech is going to be that much of a differnce. i kinda like the portability of the inverters.

Reply:I have the TA 185 and I love it. It will do the light stuff. Pulse could help by putting less heat in the base metal. All those adjustments do make a difference, but it took me a couple of weeks to figure out what does what.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
