Wireing up old Miller question

I picked up a older Miller welder at an auction a couple years back. im just getting to hooking it up now. I have a problem. I cant seem to find an outlet For my Arktite APJ 6375 end. If anyone could give me a link or knows where i could get one that would be great. By the way the welder is a Miller Thunderbolt 225V. The end has three prongs and when i search it the only outlets that come up are 4 prong. Thanks.

Reply:I googled "Arktite APJ 6375" and came up with plugs that run about $475! http://www.amazon.com/Crouse-Hinds-A.../dp/B005GZSQSWMy guess is that this was for a commercial install originally, hence the very expensive connector, possibly for 3 phase or higher voltage power. Not the Nema 6-50P plug I'd expect on a typical Thunderbolt..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:If you are going to wire it in yourself, and You really should have an electrician do it,  Just buy a plug and a receptical. for an electric range and install it. with big enough wire. That is not a very big welder and ive run one for years on number four wire with no problems. Mac.
