Even though I'm still a beginner, I find myself critiquing every weld I see. I did not make this, but maybe I'll start making similar crap and sell it for FAR less than these guys do.  Looks within my skill range, lol. This was at Ashley furniture in Utah.  That's my little girl in the background. Best part is the price. $150!!!

Reply:It's just weird to look at something like that and know exactly how he did it, when a few months ago I wouldn't look twice. Now your stuff iron heart, I don't know where to start, breathtaking it is.

Reply:I met a guy at work the other day who said he was a welder.  I started asking questions, and he literally knew NOTHING. Not even gtaw, FCAW,tig, nothing. He said he made security doors, described himself as just pointing the gun and going zzzzzz. Said he had been doing it for 6 months. When I saw this thing I figured some guy was taught how to make this and just cranks them out on an assembly line.

Reply:One of the problems with the art world is that everyone wants to make as much money as you, just selling it.  Sometimes it gets marked up a couple of times as it passes through hands.
