Reply:I don't think it's just harbor freight. Prices are rising everywhere. Kind of like the value of our dollar is rapidly decreasing...
Reply:Nooo, that would be inflation and the Federal Gummint has assured us that inflation is at 2%!
Reply:I found circular saw blades at home depot 2 for $9 and at HF the cheapest was $7Lincolin Power Wave 450, Lincoln Powermig 255, Lincoln Pro Mig 140, Lincoln Squarewave Tig 275, Miller Big 40 G(with Hobart Hefty suitcase), Thermal Arc 95S and Esab PCM875 in an already full machine shop.
Reply:import tariffs put in place during the last administration are also impacting pricing on many imported goods

Reply:In some cases it seems like the opposite of supply and demand.  Demand went down so they all raised their prices to make up for the lower volume.Tweco Fabricator 211iSieg X2 AMT radial arm drill pressAMT belt/disk sanderHF 4X6 bandsaw
Reply:I agreeDave  Originally Posted by jrporterIn some cases it seems like the opposite of supply and demand.  Demand went down so they all raised their prices to make up for the lower volume.
Reply:The rising cost of fuel, and fuel shortages probably has an effect on everything too.
Reply:Democrats are causin all the problems.Lincoln, ESAB, Thermal Dynamics, Victor, Miller, Dewalt, Makita, Kalamzoo.  Hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting tools.
Reply:The Government needs to put price control on fuel and electric power. We do not have shortages it is part of supply and demand, make shortage to raise the price. It is like latest the internet when down and oil companies could send a employee to turn the value off and on. Do not worry the power companies will use same excuse to raise the price, so will send a employee out to flip the switch. It probably save money to operate the values and switch to old fashioned way.Dave  Originally Posted by Bob E.The rising cost of fuel, and fuel shortages probably has an effect on everything too.

Reply:Apparently it's worth $5 million to keep turning the valves remotely.
Reply:Just think of labor at $7.35 to turn value.  I think electronic is costing a lot.Maybe the old could be cheaper. Dave  Originally Posted by Bob E.Apparently it's worth $5 million to keep turning the valves remotely.
Reply:LOL, that's assuming they bought valves that can be manually overridden.  It would not surprise me if they saved a few bucks and bought valves that don't come with handles to turn manually.
