I saw one at Fabtech and like it. At the time I was going to get a 250 amp class machine so I didn't think about it much more. When it came time to pull the trigger on the bigger machine, I couldn't justify it. It's not going to pay for itself for a while and not really make me any more money at this point. Though I would like one when I can justify it.I ended up getting a 15' Profax 180 amp gun with a flex head. It's a great way to breath some life into a 180 amp MIG. I'd been using a Magnum 100. The Profax has a longer lead, feels more solid, like a real MIG gun and with the flex head it's much easier to get into the nooks and crannies. Particularly in some of the smaller cars I've been doing like a Miata, Civic or mini stock. It takes the same Tweco tips. You do need to change liners to do .023 but I've kept the Magnum for that.I just wanted to give them a plug, they were very nice to me at the show. If you need to weld in small spaces this is a nice, compact gun.Enough stuff to build and repair wrinkled up race cars or bring a classic back to life... |
