H/D truck slides for 2500 lb welder or ?

Has anyone built a heavy duty truck slide for 2500 lbs?  http://www.truckbedslide.net/ builds one that pictures a Miller Big Blue Air Pak.  Have been told by Highway products, that also build slides for trucks, that vibration will kill the bearings or rollers....true, but rollers and bearings are replaceable items.  (Highway products have a killer box under their custom section!) Just wondering if anyone has built, or has some plans or ideas or???? I have my Miller Big Blu mounted on my deck of my semi tractor, that we built.  Needing to build a Drom box of some kind, to mount above the welder, or house the welder, thus needing a slide system to roll out the Big Blu for service or removing. Thought about mounting the Big Blu on top of a box. this makes it top heavy and the controls are hard to reach to start unit or to turn on airpak.  The box needs to house welding leads, spool guns. air hoses, and all sorts of reels, etc. The other option would be to lengthen the tractor frame, as now I do not have enough wheel base.  I pull a 48 ft. former race car semi trailer as a mobile shop....and of course we mounted the Big Blu on the deck of the tractor....maybe a mistake?????....however we bobtail to jobsites. Just not wanting to make a mistake in design or build again and again.....any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!! Reply:Is that as far out as it slides?  thats a lot of weight to have hanging un supported  from the side of a vehicle. I see a pretty major tipping hazzard if it comes out much farther than that. but if thats far enough out for the crane got grab the lift eye than I think you'd be ok.There are no problems.
