Hello everyone!I'm mostly a lurker on here since most of my questions get answered at school and work. But I have a question that only a forum could answer. I'm looking for some welding apparell. Like t shirts I can wear out, hats, beanies, things like that. The only place I know of that sells things like this is weldporn but I know there has to be others out there. Any you know of?
Reply:I know companies like Miller and Lincoln have a lot of apparel too, and it can be bought from ebay, amazon etc. With the right search words, you can find a lot of stuff on amazonhttp://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...lding+t+shirtsLincoln Dual 180 Power MIG
Reply:The best welding apparel is the hoodie with swiss cheeez sleeves from the spatter.  Shoes with burned up laces from the grinder.  And all the small scars on your forearms because you had the BESTEST IN THE UNIVERSE overhead weld going, and you couldn't mess it up just because some slag fell inside your sleeve"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Lincoln electric's store is pretty cheap. I think they just want their logo out there. One of the pages I like on Facebook throws out a bunch of welder themed hoodies and shirts, also 2nd amendment, gun themed. Cant seem to find it on Google. But I have a hoodie and a shirt from this company that basically has the old saying from huck a buck studios on you tube.EDIT: Search teespring.com for welder, welding, ect..Last edited by TheJackal; 11-04-2014 at 01:53 AM.14' PowerMig 210 MP13'Burntables 5x10 CNC Table14' SAE300 HE on a 12' Ram 4500 60 CA 4x4. Reply:I wear a Leather Jacket, It suits me fine
Reply:welders don't wear beanies.
Reply:The cheapest way to go is go to the goodwill, and select 100% cotton T-shirts and jeans.    You might need to look a little to find long sleeved T-shirts, but they are there.  Just read the label and look for the 100% cotton.I used to weld in a green fire retardant jacket, pocket on the inside.   Nothing wrong with it, but I got away from it, the T-shirts are more comfortable.  I mostly TIG weld, so splatter is not a big issue in general. If I welded much out of position I would go for a leather jacket, or use the green fire retardant jacket.   A lot of clothing is cotton on the outside but has a synthetic liner, not good.   The leather jackets sold for welding generally do not have a liner, and pockets are on the inside. In the winter I wear fire resistant coveralls, Indura is the brand, cost was around $70.    Love them in the winter, a quick way to add a layer top and bottom; I shed them when I go indoors.   They do have pockets on the outside, but splatter is not a big concern for my work. The most important thing is to make sure that whatever you buy is 100% natural, whether cotton, wool, or leather.   Synthetics can melt onto your skin.Sculptures in copper and other metalshttp://www.fergusonsculpture.comSyncrowave 200 Millermatic 211Readywelder spoolgunHypertherm 600 plasma cutterThermal Arc GMS300 Victor OA torchHomemade Blacksmith propane forge
Reply:Thanks everyone! I was talking more on apparell to just go out and wear, not to weld in lolI just didn't know if there were any cool companies like that.
Reply:Oh God, does that sound like something that I would have said! The way I see it, about 80% of my clothing constitutes welding apparell...full of spatter burn holes, particularly in the left sleeve of all my black hoodies! Oooch! Ouch! Yow! *%#!_)(*&#$%!!!!!Last edited by weldboy67; 11-04-2014 at 07:07 PM.

Reply:I don't know if he still does them but this guy had some nice t shirts. I got a couple off him.http://weldingweb.com/member.php?9941-TozziWelding
Reply:I think it looks more professional welding with your shirt off  and in flip flops than wearing rags.
Reply:I got a bail of yellow fireproof jackets from a steel mill supplier a few years back , like $2.00 each
Reply:This guy stressed "wear out and about not welding in" twice. Like a wannabee dressing the style but with no odor or burn holes.Me? I weld in a leather cape with a few shirts with burn holes plus I do wear a beanie of some sort as a baseball cap bill limits me from getting my eyes close enough to my work most times.
Reply:I wouldn't say I'm a wanna be. I work at a fab shop and I go to school every day. I'd be a wanna be if I welded once in my life and told everyone I am an awesome welder. No respect from anyone these days.

Reply:All right, I'll apologize to the young guy who wants to advertise for the manufacturers. Me? I don't wear logo'ed shirts anymore, I work in conditions that require FR rated outer clothes. A logo on an undershirt may/would melt in an Arc Flash accident.
