No Cost Tungsten Holder...

Ever get all set up to weld with all your freshly sharpened tungstens ready to go on your bench?Ever get to the point when you need another (Contamination) and can't find them because they all made it to the floor?EZ solution to that problem..Works for me....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:I use a scrap piece of foam pipe insulation.
Reply:I keep my short ones in an Altoids container.
Reply:I just don't contaminate the one I am using. Styrofoam works too though.

Reply:I never thought about having more than one tungsten ready to go. Good idea, especially for me, being an amateur and constantly contaminating my tungsten (I'm getting better).

Reply:I made my son stand there holding them until i need another. Happens less often as I (think) I am getting better. He wears my spare hood and complains a lot. It started as an " I need you to do something because I say so", as his sense of taking initiative has been lacking (translates = teenager).This is after an ongoing "debate"; he says he "deserves" an "allowance". I told him BS you can get some cash....by EARNING it. He does some chores with mowing and taking out the garbage; with his heels dug in hard every time. I think he'd give me a kidney easier, if I needed it. We did so a bit, and he finally said "Dad when can I try that?"I told him he can learn some get dirty and work a chipping hammer and brush first.He has shown some interest and we're gonna do some stick this weekend. I was hoping he'd be doing the oil changes by now. I can't stand the idea of a young man being tool ignorant.There's still hope. Reply:I was thinking to myself the other day how convenient a tungsten sharpener that can sharpen the tungsten while still in the torch would be. Sitting right there on the table next to you. After an hour or so when the tung starts to get funny you could just stick the head of the torch in the sharpener and pull out a nice sharp tung ready to go without ever pulling the tung out of the torch.
