this is a lineboring machine i made about 15 years ago still using it. it takes 1/2 inch carbide its 1.5 hp with a 40:1 gear reduction Attached Images

Reply:no  the set up is done with 3 wood wedges on each side of the shaft you center the shaft.  the bearings are adjustible you center them. slide machine on tack slide other bearing on tack weld both fully then the weld pulls a little so after welding machine on you loosen your bearing up a little jack bearings till shaft is back in center lock down and bore i can set it up myself in about 1.5 hours
