Not a welding question, but I've been getting a lot of inquiries for a "brushed" finish. Now I know this is a pretty common practice for stainless steel, I believe it's just done with a burnisher and isn't polished to a mirror finish. Correct me if I'm wrong. But people have been asking me for (and sending me pictures of) steel items with different colors with a brushed effect. Some of the examples even have brushed brass type of finish, similar to a lot of door knobs. Anyone have any idea on how to get this effect or know how it's commercially done? Or are there powders that form this effect when powder coated?John 3:16(2) Miller Pheonix 456(2) Millermertic 252Dynasty 210DXHobart 210MVPDoringer D350 SA Cold SawScotchman 350LT Cold SawWebb 10x50 MillWebb 15x40 LatheGeka Bendicrop Ironworker
