When I came back from lunch I flipped the switch on back of the Dynasty 350 to start it and go back to work.......I hit the pedal and it made one arc and the tungsten went cold...  The thing that weirded me out was the chiller was still running....  But nothing on the control panel?  I wiggled the foot control plug where it plugs into the welder and nothing...I turned the switch off and just sat there thinking you dumb azz you sold the Lincoln and now your busy and have NO TIG MACHINE......I got on the phone and called Terry and asked him if any of his 350 machines ever did this........he said he has had several similar different things  happen but not that........I asked so what should I try?   He said try turning it back on and see what it does.......I turned it back on and it worked normal the rest of the day.......   Later I talked with my welder repair guy and he said it happens when you get lazy with the on-off switch and only connects some of the contacts in the switch.....So be sure you make it a good flip when you turn your Dynasty on.......It worked fine all the rest of the day.......  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock

Reply:You guys just convinced me. I have a big side job coming in and i'm gonna put the money towards another machine. I have been getting bent thinking about a dynasty, but I could barely figure out to be active on this website, nonetheless have to be scared to turn on my machine, and have to figure out all the other crap.  I'm getting a new syncro i'm convinced I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:One of my Hot Rod Fab Shop friends just got a new Syncrowave  and said the same thing when I went down for coffee and complained about ALL the settings and Adjustable Amplitude stuff.......BUT........I'm still glad I got the Dynasty 350....I like stepping in dog crap too.....  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock
Reply:I would think about changing the switch out. An intermittent switch could cause problems for the welder. Changing the switch is very easy. Just make sure the welder has  been turned off for over 1 hour. The buss voltage is 800 vdc. You want to let this voltage discharge before removing the cover. If less the 3 years old and still under warranty send me a pm and I will tell you where to take it to get it fixed.
Reply:The Machine is two months old......I'm not doing anything to it...If it blows the Warranty can install one....  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock
