jackson 370 in a pipliner

I have recently bought a fibremetal pipliner. It came with the rubber band head gear which I like but I feel like it isn't gone to last long I might be wrong but when it's shot I was wondering if you could put jackson 370 head Gear. This might be the wrong form if it is sorry.ranger 225
Reply:You can get a pipeliner with a 3C ratchet headgear. Replacement rubber bands are available for the pipeliner as well. Might be a good idea to have a spare or 2.
Reply:I've have a 370 headgear in my pipeliner.  I like it way better than the ratchet or the rubber band that came with it.

Reply:I'll try for wome pics later today.   I took out the factory heqdgear and drilled out the square holes with a 1/2" drill bit.  The cups with the jackson didn't quite fit so I reamed out the rest of the way with a pocket knife just enough to make a snug fit.  After it was bolted in the hood, I raised and lowered the hood a couple times and a visible line was made on the inside of the hood by the indexing(?) piece of the head gear. The part that goes I  one of the little 4 holes behind the mounting points.   I think I used a 1/16 drill bit for these. 15 minutes to do and its the best of both worlds.

Reply:1st pic is knob for headgear installed2nd pic is the cup and stud that knob attaches to. 3rd is the hole then stud and cup go threw.  These were originally square for the factory headgear.  That where I used the 1/2" drill bit and my pocket knife to fit.  Small 1/16" indexing hole was just a real good guess.  I didn't have to trim the top of the hood for clearance.  It seems to be in the same location as the factory headgear in relation to my face.  Hope the tablet pictures are clear enough.  If you have any more questions,  fire away.Last edited by HOBART; 11-23-2014 at 08:01 PM.
