Reply:The shop outfitters stuff is okay for flat bar the easy way, but no way would it do 2" square. The force required is squared when you double the size, in almost all metal bending applications. That means it takes 4 times as much force to bend 1" as it does 1/2", and 16 times as much force to bend 2" as it does 1/2".And all that force means every part has to be bigger and beefier. Here are two more large radius rolls for 2" square. Both work well for what you want.http://www.hawkebender.com/http://www.rdhs.com/products/tubingbender.htmlNeither are as cheap as the shop outfitters- however, unlike the shop outfitters, they will actually roll large square tubing. There is no free lunch. |
