Thought I'd share just graduated fire school yesterday. Every class makes a class plaque, of course being a fabricator I volunteered to do our s and wanted to do something cool out of metal. Used my mig, plasma, and chop saw. Its 11 gauge 1" square outside, expanded metal and 1/4" steel for the maltese cross. I handcut the cross out with my plasma think it came out pretty good everybody was impressed with it. Attached Images

Reply:Nicely done!! I wish I had this welding hobby when I graduated rookie school. It would have been cool to build our plaque.
Reply:Thanks everybody both on the graduation and plaque. Our class was all very proud and impressed with it. I know I've got a lot of challenges ahead of me. I'm already hired as a probationary firefighter. Welding is gonna be my job on my days off after I get through my first year. Thanks for the support! |
