Any opinions on the Resp-O-Rator?

I was looking for a respirator that won't fog up my helmet or goggles. The video shows that this one fits under a welding helmet and the exhaled breathe is forced downward so on paper it looks like it "should" work ok but has anyone used this in everyday use a professional welder? Or does anyone have any thoughts on it? It's a bit pricey at around $50 but it looks like breathing in from behind your head as this model does should keep you from inhaling most of the fume plume which is nice. The fact that I won't have to shave down to bare skin every single day is not a terrible thing either.http://www.hartvilletool.com/product/1272/respirators

Reply:3M 7500 respirator I just bought vents down. I didn't have any major issues with it fogging up my hood when I was wearing it all last week, both inside and out even with the cold temps. Filters on the 7500 are also designed to be used around zinc and metal fumes. Not too sure about those filters.If you want something with a mouth piece, I'd locate an old Aqualung 2 hose reg. The hoses would have to be a lot more comfortable than that cobbled together pipe disaster. They also use 2 hose units like this for rebreathers. Probably could work out something similar, except instead of the scrubber on you back, you just set up a filter..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:You'll want the P100 pink pancake filters for the respirator. Note it comes in different sizes. Most use either medium or large but they also sell a small version that would be best suited for women or people of small stature..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
