MaxStar 200SD noise help.

Just got my outlet wired up for my Maxstar welded with it works great. My only concern is the noises while running and startup. I made a video on youtube here is the video.[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDuMeufPx_g[/ame]Are these sounds normal?Miller Maxstar 200 SDPiperliner #10 Gold

Reply:I just called Miller and had them check the Serial on my machine it left Miller in 2001, and only has 386 and 44  hours/min on the clock like 38552 arc strikes. I went on the Miller forums some of these guys with 2008 dynasty machines have 192 hours with 70k arc strikes. Reply:A lot of the noise you are hearing is the PFC boost circuit working. The welder will sound different on 115 volt, 230 and 460 volts. On 460 volts they don't make much noise at all.The help 12 will always come on when you try to switch between TIG and stick with the output on. The maxstar 200 along with being a good DC TIG welder. IT is a very good stick welder. A story I heard at a lincoln school I went to. Said  when they saw the first inverters demonstrated They were very noisy. (powcon I assume). Lincoln went back to their Engineers and told them to build one that did not make any noise.You can get a Lincoln to squeal if you put to much load with them set low.
