I'm disappointed on this product. I made under 20 cuts and it started to dull on me. It sprayed more sparks than the abrasive disks. I should have spent extra on the dewalt/milwaukee blade.I searched this whole section but no reviews of this product. I spoke to chad on their live chat via their website and i'm sending it back to let them see their blade. Any input/criticism are welcomed. I will be looking at bandsaws from this point on. I wanted to get this setup because of the "space" limiting factor. Man, what a waste!
Reply:Were you running it in a saw designed for abrasive blades? The dry cut saws I have seen (and the one I own) run at a much slower speed around 1,200 to 1,400 RPM and I think the abrasive machines are at least 3 times that. Unless the blade is designed for the higher speed I'm not surprised it performed as you stated. With a 14" diameter the surface feet at that RPM is really up there for a cutting edge. The blade should say on it what speed it designed to run at.JimCut an MGB and widened 11" C4 Corvette suspension and LT1 Chevrolet power & 6 spd. Reply:The bullet blade is made for the reg chop saws....they don't last.....the most I ever got out of one was 10 -15 cuts.....they did send me another one after the first went south....it didn't last any longer.....I have had good luck with the 7 1/4" on my circular saw......
Reply:Jim Stabe: Yes, I have an abrasive chop saw. The blade is designed for that type of speed & faster than your dry saw. I will not be wasting money on a dry saw but will spend money on a band saw.84zmike: Found that out the hard way. How many cuts were you getting approximately with the 7.24" blade? I don't think any of their other products are good if labed with "carbide".Now that I look into it, the blades for the dewalt/milwaukee are dry cut saws and I can't use them unless I get the saw. I might as well get the evolution =) but i'm not. Band saw!
Reply:Yeah the Bullit blades are a waste of money.  I had one go dull with less than 5 cuts.  Bullit replaced it with a new one and that went dull after 1 cut.  Got a bandsaw and didn't look back.
Reply:I have had the 7 1/4 " for  some time now and don't know how many cuts I'v made with it no more than 50-100 I'd say and it is just as sharp as when it was new....
Reply:Hmmm I wonder why their 7.25" blades last longer. Maybe you got the good one that came from a bad batch=)
Reply:I think it has to do with the RPMs as well as the tooth count....the 14" was less then they went to the 100 tooth.....but it seems to not last.....I did try a Morse Metal Devil in my reg circular saw....it didn't last long at all....they sent me another one with the same results....FYI it was about 3x the price of the Bullet.....I also like there flap disk they are about the best "el cheapo's" I have found.
Reply:My experience with the Bullet blades is the same as Mike's.The 14" blade on my DeWalt chop saw (abrasive) did not last at all. On the other hand, the 7 1/4" blade in a normal skil (type) has done remarkably well.  As well as the Metal Devil (Morse) at 1/3 the price. At this point, I'm of the belief that it's maybe impossible to build a carbide blade that will take the speed/heat of an abrasive chop saw.  The cold saws by PC, Milwaukee, Evolution, etc are another story.  Very accurate cuts and very good blade life (I use the PC 1410 with Freud blades).Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc.
