Anyone have any experience with this model Fein sander for Stainless tubing;http://www.feinus.com/p/stainless/rs.htmThinking about using one for Marine applications... bow rails.I know Fein makes a great tool but haven't run across one of these. What do you think???ThanksJohn
Reply:John,I've never used the Fein, but have used the Walter Abrasive model 30A268, Line-MateII, which is a buffing/sanding tool, I use in repairing restaurant hoods. They make and adapter to run Scotch-brite belts that does a similar job to the Fien. The belt has a joint in it, you wrap the belt around the tubing, join it, the attach the machine. I'll try to post a picture later. Below is the link to the tool. I don't know if you actually need a sanding belt or if the scotch-brite would work.Jackhttp://www.jwalterinc.com/walter_us/...er&item=30A268
Reply:Great.. thanks for the reply.
Reply:We use the Suhner tube wrap polisher on virtually a daily basis with scotch brite and occasionally other belts . Would highly recommend it.http://www.ferret.com.au/c/SuhnerI had a Fein core drill, it was a POS from day one, had it replaced 4 times twice with an upgraded model.Maybe I just got a few duds on the trot? I doubt I will ever buy Fein again .A good guess is better than a bad measurement |
