First Of All, This Is My First Post So Thanks In Advice For Any Help And Sorry For The Capitol Letters, My Phone Sucks. So I Just purchased A 186Ac/dc And I'm Having Some Minor Issues. I've Only Ran It In Stick And AC So Far And Stick It Does Great. However When Doing Tig In Ac(Haven't Tried Dc Yet) It Will Run Great For A Couple Beads And Then The Amp Control On The Torch(I Don't Use The Pedal) Will Start Acting Weird, It Basically Acts Like A On/Off Switch. It Do This Randomly Without Me Changing Anything. Also The amps Are Hard To Set Because As I Spin The Knob The Numbers Randomly Go Up And Down And I Have To Play With It To Get It Set Where I Want It. Any Advice On Either Of These Issues Would Be Great!
Reply:Try a different control for the torch? It came with 3. When I called they said a few of those needed to be replaced.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Ok Thanks, Would That Make The control Knob Mess Up Too?
Reply:Try it with the foot pedal and if it still happens then it's not the control knob or the pedal.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:I Didn't Get The Foot Pedal...
Reply:Did you read the operators manuel all the way and more then once as it tells you how to set the amperage for the remote controls. You might try just using the on off switch and run off the front panel and see what it does. I have a 186 manuel and a lot of the problems people are having is because they have not read the manuel
Reply:If you are talking about the knob on the power supply not responding properly call tech support
