Difficult to open/close CGA 580 Valve

I upgraded from a 60 cu ft argon tank to a 330.  I "own" the 60, and now lease the 330.  The 330, and the new 60, both came with white plastic wrap around the valve.I noticed once I got the 330 back to the garage and pulled the white shrink wrap that the valve wouldn't budge.  In hindsight, maybe I should have stopped there and called and/or returned the bottle.In all the tanks that I've exchanged myself plus those I've used at different work sites, this is the first time I've encountered a "hard to turn" valve.I got the valve open using more than my hands/arms, but I usually open close the valve every time I use the machine so the extra tapping open, tapping closed is not the greatest.Anyone run into this?  The C25 tank on the MIG is only one size smaller (K) and the valve is tight only twice: once when it seats closed and once when it tops-out fully open.  It's easy to turn the whole way in-between --- which is how everything other cylinder valve I've used has worked until I used the valve on this 330.
Reply:Sounds like simply a bad valve. I'd call them and return it for a good one. It happens once and a while. Might be someone previously knocked the cylinder over when it was empty and bent the valve slightly. Then they simply swapped it out since it wasn't theirs..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Had the same problem earlier this year on a bottle of Argon. Got it back to shop and could not budge the thing. I took it back and there was no discussion or head scratching about it, just swapped it out without even taking the cap off.

Reply:Thanks guys.  Just got off the phone with my LWS.  They said they are going to drop off and swap out the tank tomorrow.
