I guess this is the right forum for this. Bought a can of the Pam for B-B-Qing and tried it on the mig nozzle. Works great!!!  Also tried it on the gas B-B-Q gratesbefore putting the steaks on and they didn't seem to stick as bad. What really impressed me was spraying it on the grates after the steaks are taken off and let the grates  cool. Really makes cleanup a lot easier!!!!                                               MikeOl' Stonebreaker  "Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes"Hobart G-213 portableMiller 175 migMiller thunderbolt ac/dc stick Victor O/A setupMakita chop saw

Reply:Trivia:PAM is made from stuff known as "Canola Oil" which is produced from a hybrid developed from rapeseed, a grass-like plant related to mustard.   Canola was developed in Canada in the 1970's, the name meaning Canadian Oil, Low Acid.Rapeseed oil has been used extensively as a cooking oil throughout history and as a machine oil during WWII.  But rapeseed oil has a high acid content and doesn't perform well under elevated temperatures, especially those found in cooking.  The heat causes it to release mild toxins but this was not known until late in the 20th century. The low acid Canola oil, however, does not posess this property.  In fact, Canola performs very well under relatively high temperatures and does not convert to the toxins found in rapeseed oil.  This makes it an excellent choice for all sorts of uses as you have discovered."Google" Canola or rapeseed and you will find a plethora of fascinating information.-MondoMember, AWSLincoln ProMIG 140Lincoln AC TombstoneCraftsman Lathe 12 x 24 c1935Atlas MFC Horizontal MillCraftsman Commercial Lathe 12 x 36 c1970- - - I'll just keep on keepin' on.

Reply:Reminds me of video on the local news of a deer that got spooked in a local parking lot and ran into the grocery store. It's paniced and running up and down the isles with empolyees chasing it here and there. I can see someone geting on the PA and pageing the meat counter, " Will someone from the meat department please come to isle 5, your meat is loose."

Reply:More Trivia:On one morning in the late 70's, a can of Pam, another of Rose Air Freshener and a third one of Right Guard Deodorant were found in the open trunk of a car which a teen-ager was found slumped over. He had gone camping with a friend who, in the middle of the night, heard him rummaging around at the car. He had apparently been inhaling the aerosols and had suffered respiratory collapse. He never woke up to smell the real roses. In Canada particularly, honeybees produce an excellent, light but peppery honey when forraging on rape seed, but as it's hard to advertise it as such ("especially to little old ladies" per Norm Gary [see http://www.normangary.com/]), beekeepers had to come up with a new name for the honey which I've unfortunately forgotten.
