I haven't really posted up with any projects I've built yet.  Figure its due time and I just finished building these tables for a customer at work.  Built from 2 x 2 x .120 wall stainless.  Their 2 foot wide, 32" tall with a shelf in the middle, brushed finish. For the shelves, I cut some 2 1/2" long pieces of 1/4" rod.  Drilled thru the side tubes, welded flush on the outside leaving 1/2" sticking thru on the inside.  No visable weld after polishing and the shelf rests on those pegsAnd some weld shots

Reply:Nice job and nice fit up. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you charge to put one of those table frames together? The reason why I ask is because I do little projects like those and I have a hard time pricing it out. I'm trying to rule out if people I'm Miami are cheap or am I over charging. Thanks
Reply:JRwldrDo you have any closer photos of the pin, and corner areas after dressing.Opus
Reply:Aw crap. Put it on the list of things I want now! I love that design! Great work and the welds look awesome. How much of a pain was it to not get the bottom to warp at all being that it was stainless? Reply:Those things are clever and beautiful! Will we get to see them "topped"? Would also like a detailed shot of the little feet thingies..(if that's what they are). Man, lining up and/or jigging up everything perfect on those suckers during assembly would have to be a challenge. Reply:Thanks fellas for the compliments.  These tables are definitely a love it or hate it design.  The guy these are built for is Italian with some sort of architectural background.  Never met the guy personally, but I have heard that he absolutely hates curves.  These were all welded on a Dynasty 300, 1/16 tungsten and filler, 120amps at the machine, no pulse.  All freehand welding using weld sequence and weld pull along with a slab a granite to check for flatness.  No fixtures of any kind for this jobThe legs are cut at 37.5°Here is an inside shot of the pin.  I'll try and get a shot of the corners tomorrow if I can rememberAlso, those little things on the top are keepers for a thick glass top or glass display case.  Just some scrap tube, cut into 4 pieces length wise.  Similar to angle ironLast edited by JRwldr; 07-09-2013 at 07:31 PM.
