So of you might remember the body I made to mount my Big Blue Air Pak on the back of my Mazda. Well it was to much for the Mazda so I build a trailer for the welder. I think in the long run it will better having the trailer particularly if I get work on a mine site. I'll be able to hire a Mine Spec vehicle that complies to the site I'll be working on to tow the welder on site. I will be putting a frame on the front of the trailer so I can store gas cylinders and it will also keep mud and stones from getting thrown up at the welder. Please excuse the mess in the shed. The old man is rooting around building another mud racer and has **** everywhere.
Reply:WOW that is a nice clean trailer. Nice welder too. I would be proud to tow it behind my truck. "G"ConductorX - The Volkswright Shophttp://volkswright.blogspot.com/http://bugwerks.blogspot.com/Miller DVI w/Spoolgun - Miller Plasma Cutter

Reply:Nice set up. Is that cable going to the front the break away? How does it work? Never saw a setup like that. Are those commercial axles?
Reply:That is for the park brake. The service brakes are electric with a mechanical park. I also have to fit a breakaway unit that holds the trailer brakes for 30 seconds. As for the axles 45mm square with ford bearings and running 6 stud hubs. I'm not sure what you mean by commercial axles.
Reply:I see you decided to take it off that truck. Nice call. You will be thanking yourself later when your not replacing broken leaf springs.
Reply:Beautiful Trailer!!!
Reply:That's a great set up, quite a beast. I'm sure it will serve you well. You should be proud. Great work! |
