CE cut 40 plasma cutter?

Im redoing an old pontiac and bought a little cutter. Problem is its not working. The manual looks like it was translated very poorly and has no referances that I can understand. The cutter is hooked up for 110v and when I turn it on the fan does engage but when i pull the trigger there is no gas flowing. Ive tried adjusting the air pressure and still nothing. Anyone got any ideas. Thanks
Reply:Try phoning the dealer/manufacturer that sold you the unit. Explain the problem as you would explain a health problem! explain all the symptoms turned power on-power worked or not. Did the unit make strange noises. Did it have strange smells like burning wires. Did the unit make a clicking noise when you pressed the torchs trigger? WEell you get the idea! Explain everything you observed.Do not open or tamper with the unit unless the dealer/manufacturer tells you do.(NOTE: If you open a unit without their permission on your own without while under warranty it voids your warranty) If they tell you to open the unit. 1st tell them of your technical background ie have you ever open one of these before. This info will help them to carefully walk you through checking the units operation.1st do a complete check of all your outside connections. Is power wire fully inserted into the walls outlet. Are  the unts grounds properly connected? the unit itself must be grounded both the rear ground wire to a proper grounding source and the grounding clamp to the piece to be cut.The piece's area where the clamp attachs must be clean of grease and rust.2nd You already said you had an air source! You air pressure should be 60-65psi with a flow of 6..5 cu ftNext they will have you open the case to look for loose wires,, connectors, control boards, etc. They'll have you look for burnt out mosfits,  wires, transitors, capacitors, rectifiers, etc.If nothing is obvious they may ask if you have voltmeter to test voltage in  and voltage throughout the unit.
