Stainless pipe lamp

Here is a lamp I made out of stainless 3" pipe and 1/2" plate.This was my first attempt at stainless tig. Attached ImagesTOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE

Reply:The tie rods make it look like a hydraulic cylinder.  How funny would that be if you could raise and lower the lamp hydraulically.

Reply:you just have to be mindful of your heat input while welding stainless.  don't hang around in one place too long or have the heat up too high or you'll burn the chrome out and it turns a sort of dull grey instead of shiny at which point it has lost it's corrosion resistance and can actually rust
