I currently have the Boss lense but I'm thinking of getting the truesight. I just need opinions on what some of the welders think of the two.I know the Boss has a little more viewing area. But only has two sensors which if I get into a certain spot the sensors get blocked. And the truesight has four sensors and just alittle less of viewing area. Please give me your opinions on those lenses.Thank you
Reply:I use the boss and if your sensitivity is set too low it will sometimes lighten up. I weld around obstacles a lot and it rarely happens. With the larger viewing area its easier to keep the sensor's where there in the arc and you can see what your doing.
Reply:I had a Jackson TrueSight for a while. It is kind of top heavy and you are very aware of it when you have it up unlike my Speedglas 9100XX where I can walk around the shop like a fool totally forgetting my hood is still on my head. Having had a Jackson Truesight and now owning a Speedglas I can say my Speedglas is much better, much much better: more comfortable, more durable, better suited for overhead. The HALO-X shell dose not protect your neck well especially for overhead so be prepared to make a leather bib. The optical clarity of the Truesight is pretty awesome it's just like a amber colored gold shade lens. It made seeing what I was doing with 7018 much easier. All and all it was a good helmet but there's a reason why I sold it. If I was you I would get a Speedglas just my opinion tho. And 3M if you are reading this you guys are late on my payments!! Reply:Have the WS60 Truesight. It's a great hood. As with any good you really need to try them yourself and see which one has the best lens for YOU. The only hood I like better than my TS is the BH3 Jackson Blader.Tiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.
