Reply:Well the 350 showed up today!  Barely that is!  The seller packed the 55# machine in a light, single wall cardboard box full of foam peanuts and when it got here there was a gapping hole in the side where it tried to escape.  There was a trail of peanuts from where the UPS truck parked to the front door and who knows how many between here and California.  Fortunately the UPS folks were gentle and there were enough left to keep it from harming itself as it suffered no external damage.  Nothing rattling around inside so I didn't take the housing off to check any further.  I don't have the right three prong twist-lock recepticle to match the power cord so I didn't power it up tonight either.Below are photos of how it arrived (and that was all the protective packing there was) and how it looks.  Even came with pre-worn out consumables  although there is one new electrode.  Should have it up and running tomorrow after work. Reply:Originally Posted by paweldorAh, the good old out-bid on ebay.  Here's what I do, if I really want something.  At the bottom of the ebay page is "Official ebay time".  I set my computer clock 10 seconds ahead of that.  When bidding on an item there are 2 ways to do so.  You'll place a bid, then "confirm" the bid.  Or, something new ebay started this year "one click bid".  I use the two step method.  While watching the clock for the "end time", I'll place my bid.  The "confirm bid" comes up.  I don't confirm until my clock is at the "end time" of the auction.  Remember, my clock is set 10 seconds ahead of the ebay clock.  By doing it this way it only give competing bidders a 10 second window to attempt to out-bid you.  I am usually succesful this way, UNLESS, the competing bidder already bid higher, or, is using the 5 second method Doing the above requires you to be at your computer when the auction ends.  If it's an item that would be nice to have, but I'm not too concerned whether I win or not, I'll place a bid using a figure I'd be willing to pay, and let the auto bid function take over.  If I win or lose it's o.k. Good Luck.BTW, Good buy on the plasma cutter.
