Morning, guys!!Here's my newest project... Well alright, its not actually not really my project but one I helped a friend of mine with...He's fixing up an early-90's jeep and needed to replace his rotted out, falling apart center console with something a little more beefy...So, we made this beautiful thing out of 1/8" diamond tread steel and he really likes how it turned out... It was chris's first welding project Although hes not the most talkative person ever on camera, it was still a fun build and I just figured I'd stop in and share the videos...Enjoy your weekend, everyone!Part 1:Part 2:[Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. Reply:Nice vids.Hey man I was looking for your heat treating video and can't find it. Did you take it down?
Reply:Yeah, I pulled the plug on it some time back... I am going to re-make it tho, with much more information this time [Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009
Reply:Very nice build ....but very cheap lock that is the weak link in the box design ...put a pry bar under the lip and you can pop the top like a soda can....not hating at all just when I see builds like this I always think to myself what is the weak link...

Reply:Love the video, as always. Don't know how wise it was to show off the contents of the box though. A portable drill and a nice bit would have that cylinder out in under a minute. Anyone who recognizes your buddy's gonna know what treasure awaits them. He shoulda gone old school with a tab and padlock on it.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum

Reply:Just put the stuff in and weld it shut. That way it takes a torch to steal his stuff.Locks are just there to keep an honest man honest. There's always a way to break in
Reply:what was wrong with the box they replaced then? I bet the locking mechanism was even tougher.Welding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com |
